Large umbrellas shading a cozy patio. Wrought iron chairs complete with comfortable striped cushions. Tables elegantly set with blue and white china. Luscious plants everywhere. A Roman-style stone fountain adding to the romantic atmosphere with its gentle water trickle. If you’re already intrigued, this is only the start of your Ralph’s Café experience.

Nestled in the courtyard of Ralph Lauren’s flagship store in Paris, pass this beautiful outdoor patio and step into an “Old World marries American West” space, exquisitely decorated in Ralph Lauren’s unmistakable style. Dark wood paneling, brown leather chairs, forest green accents, equestrian art decorating the walls, and lovely red roses adorning the white-clothed tables. This all sounds great, you might say, but how about the food?

The menu consists of all-American fare and the food is consistently good, although most guests would agree that it’s not spectacular and is slightly overpriced. Expect beef, tuna, and veggie burgers, Maryland crab cakes, a good variety of salads, as well as Angus beef steak and plenty of seafood choices. For dessert, you can choose between a New York-style cheesecake, a brownie with walnut, vanilla ice cream, and chocolate sauce, or a café gourmand with Ralph’s favorites, among other options.

All things considered, Ralph’s Café might not be a culinary destination in itself but it is a must-see for lover of timeless style and design, as well as a perfect choice for a romantic rendez-vous
